Moon Hockey Uniform Ordering

Good afternoon-

This post is in regards to uniform ordering for the Moon Hockey V-JV-MS-Dvlp Teams. Please print and read both attachments to insure we have everybody in the correct uniform for the first game next fall. Below are the critical highlights:

  • All ordering will be done online, regardless of whether or not you attend our sizing event.
  • Therefore if you know your size, just order what you need and skip the sizing event.
  • You can order right now as ordering is now open at the K&B Outfitters website. (www.kandboutfitters.com)
  • Our sizing event is Tuesday, June 15th from 6pm to 8pm at Baierl.
  • If you can't make that sizing event, in the attached memo there are multiple other sizing event dates for other organizations listed that we can attend if necessary.
  • The CUT-OFF to insure you have core uniform items (Jerseys, Socks, Pant Shells and Warm-ups) that you need for game-play is June 27th. These items will be shipped to our organization, not to your homes.
  • Anything else you order will go directly to your house.

Should have any questions please feel free to reach out to me. Thanks

Welcome to the Moon Hockey 2021-2022 Season

Good evening-

Hello everyone and welcome to the 2021-2022 Hockey Season! We are determined to make this season the best season yet.

On that note, I want to extend a sincere thank you to Joyce Cooper and last year's Board of Directors for successfully navigating our program through the constant change and disruption that came with the pandemic last year.

We have so many GREAT things to talk about as we look to the future and to name just a few:

  • We have record registration levels for next season
  • We added a second Middle School team
  • Developmental numbers are growing every year
  • Stable and returning Coaching Staffs
  • Varsity Coach Jeff Tindall in year two of building his winning culture
  • Program wide coaching integration
  • Participation in Spring/Summer Hockey league
  • Extensive off-ice training
  • New Pre-season readiness camp for 2021-2022 - June 26th & 27th
  • New practice jerseys for 2021-2022
  • A new sheet of ice at Beaver

In addition we have so many additional enhancements we’re exploring:

  • New Ice Rink relationships for 2022-2023
  • Updated uniform look for 2022-2023
  • New Try-out jerseys for 2022-2023
  • Fun team-building activities planned
  • Community Service for our players (develop the person & the player)
  • Goalie Training and Skills sessions
  • A girls team for the High School

We sent out a year end survey last month and a whooping 80%+ plus of the organization said they would either consider or would volunteer for a committee or fundraising event or in any capacity they could. This truly is impactful for Moon Hockey. We are trying to build a powerhouse program that competes at a high level year after year. This requires resources and money which requires high level fundraising.

High level fundraising requires an organizational commitment from each and every family! We’re asking for volunteers to join a group of people, including Board members that will see that we accomplish everything that we need to make happen to deliver all the resources that we need to continue to evolve to the next level.

Please email, call or text  myself or any board member if Moon Hockey can count on your family to deliver the kind of hockey experience that we want to deliver to all of our Moon families and players!

In that end of year survey we also got very valuable feedback regarding communication and “we hear you” (insert laugh track). The majority of the organization responds best to a combination of communication that includes direct email and texting with an up to date website. The vast majority don’t respond to SportsEngine chat nor the newsletter. So this year, based on your feedback we’ll focus on direct emails, the website and a new texting app called Remind, which is used by most of the High School sports teams. (details forthcoming)

One other thing with social media, we didn’t grade out as high as I would expect given the quality of what took place last year with @MoonHockey on twitter. If you don’t follow @MoonHockey you seriously missed out! A shout out to Mr. Glenn Himes who did incredible work covering Devlp, MS, JV & V games with professional quality photography and spot on commentary.

The last thing I’d like to share with all of you tonight is the 2021-2022 Board of Directors for Moon Hockey:
